Namco announces a new shooter game for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 called Inversion. Inversion is a gravity defying shooter game. The game would feature weightless gameplay in zero gravity and the ability to manipulate gravity at your advantage, by crushing your opponents or objects that get in your way.  The game will also feature a cover system that is similar to Gears of War series. Environmental destruction is another feature of the game, so pretty much you can blast any door or wall that gets in your way. Review of Killzone 3 Open Beta

Here’s a review of Killzone 3 open beta that was launched last Thursday on PS3. The game is amazing. I was just blown away at the graphics and how the game felt. You actually felt the weight of the weapon when you were moving. If you’re expecting a twitchy shooter like the Call of Duty series then look away. The aiming in Killzone 3 is much better than the previous one. You don’t feel like you’re aiming a 500 pound gun. Killzone 3 makes you feel like you are there, especially now with the new 3D technology.  The player can pick from 5 different classes: Engineer, Marksman, Infiltrator, Tactician, and Field Medic. Personally, my favorite class has to be the Infiltrator because I like disguising myself as the enemy and performing melee kills or blasting people away with my shotgun. The only downside about the Infiltrator class is that when you try to plant the bomb, your disguise goes away.

Each of the 4 game modes are different. The first game mode is Guerrilla Warfare, which is Killzone’s version of Team Deathmatch.  The second game mode is called Warzone, which is a objective game mode where objectives can change in a flash. The third game mode is Operations, which is my favorite game mode out of all them. Operations has 2 teams one defending and one attacking. The attacking team has to complete a series of objectives to win the game and the defending team has to defend the objectives. The objectives vary from capturing a point to planting bombs. The last game mode is Botzone, which is pretty much an offline multiplayer that you play with or against bots.

Guerrilla finally got the multiplayer right on the number this time around. From its various game modes and classes to fixing problems, such as the aiming, this game is going to be an instant PS3 Hit. The single player demo is coming to the Playstation Store on the 15th, and that is the same day that the beta will end. The game will be released on the 22nd of February.
