Call of Juarez: The Cartel is coming out in the summer for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms. Yet, in Mexico, the Mexican state, Chihuahua, has issued a vote to ban the game. Call of Juarez: The Cartel is about drug cartel shootouts in Ciudad Juarez. Chihuahua congressmen feel that game is too similar to what’s happening in Mexico’s current war on drugs. Ricardo Boone Salmon, a Chihuahua congressman said “It is true there is a serious crime situation, which we are not trying to hide… But we also should not expose children to this kind of scenarios so that they are going to grow up with this kind of image and lack of values.”  For more information about the ban, visit MSNBC.

Deep Silver announced the sequel to the popular role playing game called Risen. The new game is going to be called Risen 2: Dark Waters.  In Risen 2: Dark Waters, there’s a fresh new story, characters, and a new gaming engine. Risen 2 is set a few years behind the first Risen. Risen 2 will have a pirate theme and still has Risen’s ‘Classic RPG gameplay’. Telltale Games is developing Jurassic Park: The Game, coming Q1 2011. IGN had an exclusive first look at Jurassic Park: The Game.  The game begins at the end of the first movie.  The company hires a mercenary to retrieve the important information. Meanwhile, there is no security, so dinosaurs are everywhere. The player has to defend himself from them. Jurassic Park: the Game is coming out for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii, iPhone, iPad. The new game that Rockstar Games and Team Bondi are developing is L.A. Noire. LA Noire is set in 1947 Los Angeles. LA was in a frenzy, and tensions ran high. The player has to investigate a series of murders throughout the story. L.A. Noire is going to take a stylistic approach of the classic Hollywood Detective film.
