VG Tuesday: This Week’s Video Game News!

Croteam releases a few screenshots of their new shooter, Serious Sam 3 BFE on the game’s Facebook page. Croteam has announced earlier this month that the game will be released in the Summer 2011. The game is the prequel to The First Encounter. Serious Sam 3 BFE and is set in the 22nd Egyptian’s landscape that is filled with terrifying monsters. The prequel will also feature a 16 player coop campaign and 16 player multiplayer. Relic Entertainment releases their new standalone expansion for the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 series for the PC. The new expansion is called Dawn of War 2 Retribution. The game will feature the 5 previous factions and a new faction called the Imperial Guard. Relic made big changes for the multiplayer aspect and changed Windows live to Steamworks online. Hence,  the 2 previous Dawn of War 2 are not compatible with RetributionDawn of War 2 Retribution is available to purchase at the Steam Store and the MSRP for $29.99. Tecmo releases a new teaser trailer for their upcoming game called Ninja Gaiden 3 at the GDC festival this week. The new teaser shows that Ninja Gaiden 3 is going to be really bloody, and Ryu will finally be unmasked. Tecmo said after they reveal the teaser that Ninja Gaiden 3 would make an appearance at E3. Crysis 2 just release their multiplayer demo today, March 1. The multiplayer demo was released for Xbox 360 and PC users. The multiplayer demo features 2 maps called Skyline and Pier 17. Skyline is war-torn Manhattan, and the battle is all over the rooftops. Pier 17 is an open environment with limited cover. The demo will also feature 6 vs. 6 battles and 2 game modes. One game more is team instant action, where your team has to kill as many opponents as possible in the round. The other game mode is crash site which is where you have to control alien drop pods and defend to gain to points to win the round. The demo is available to download at Marketplace for Xbox users and for PC users, they have to visit EA.
