THE SPECIALS Announce 2013 UK Tour

Ska legends, The Specials, have recently announced that they will be playing a 10-date tour in the UK next year.

The band, known for being pioneers of the British 2Tone sound of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, reformed in 2008.  During their show in 2011 at London’s Alexandra Palace, Terry Hall, the band’s frontman, indicated that the show would be their last.  However, on November 3rd 2011, guitarist Lynval Golding told  BBC 6 Music News after the show that the band were now “in a completely different mood” and that they would not be splitting up.

The Specials played at London’s Hyde Park with Blur and New Order as part of a 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony concert.
