Remember when you were little and use to spend hours, even the entire weekend, playing…Foosball? Seems so long ago now but…to all those Foosball (and football/soccer) fans out there, you will be very happy with this post.
Argentine and Academy Award Winner Director, Juan José Campanella, is releasing this year his first full length animated feature entitled ‘Metegol’ (Foosball). The film, based on a short story by Argentine writer Roberto Fontanarrosa, is set to open in Argentina on July 18th and in the rest of the world in upcoming months. It is also the first 3D film made in Argentina.
Juan José Campanella is known for directing ‘El Secreto de sus Ojos’ (The Secret in Their Eyes) back in 2009 and winning an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film the following year. You can also see his work in American TV series such as ‘House M.D.’, ‘Law & Order’ and ’30 Rock’.
From what I can see from the trailer, the film is looking great and I’m excited to see it in a few weeks. In the meantime, watch and enjoy the trailer (FYI: it’s in Spanish) below and tell us what you think!
