Kevin James Gets a Star on the Miami Walk of Fame

Kevin James is now a part of the Miami Walk of Fame! That’s right, although James was born in New York, he has lived in South Florida for the past several years and his work has not gone unnoticed. This April, James received the key to the City of Miami for his work in Hollywood along with a star on the Miami Walk of Fame which also holds a place for stars like Jamie Foxx and Bobby Cannavale.

We spoke to the star of Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 on the blue carpet at the event and he was enthusiastic about the recognition he was getting, along with his new movie. He’s excited to be back as the lovable and funny mall cop, “I get to go out there, protect and serve, and get to be the hero again,” said James.

Kevin James is quite the family man, with a new baby girl and three others, he still manages to find time for his family. “I have four kids now, and I’m excited that I get to make movies my kids can enjoy,” commented James when asked if he prefers family time over his Hollywood life. “God and family first, you’ve got that, and everything else will just fall into place.”

Along with the City of Miami Chief of Police, James was also joined by his co-star, and telenovela hunk, Eduardo Verastegui who told us, “I’m happy to be a part of a movie that is family friendly with a wholesome message that everyone can enjoy.”
