Assassin’s Creed 3 was all the rage today at Ubisoft’s press conference, giving fans the first look at gameplay from the final chapter in the Desmond cycle of the Assassin’s Creed universe. Ubisoft premiered a brand new cinematic, which you can watch below, that showcased countless new animations for the main hero and protagonist, a new assassin known as Connor to his fellow Americans. Ubisoft has always had good cinematics for the AC franchise, and they didn’t let us down this time either. Don’t worry fellow assassin’s; You are still very much a bad ass.
The gameplay demo was equally as engaging. The new way that players can traverse the environment is considerably impressive, giving way to many new strategies when it comes to assassinating a target. The gameplay demo also shows hunting segments in addition to a confrontation with a pack of wolves shortly afterwards. Connor later dispatches a group of British scum, featuring some tree climbing techniques and gorgeous combo kill animations. The demo finishes with a tense chase scene and the final trademark slow motion aerial assassination…with a bayonette. Requiescat in pace.
