Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig are back for the 24th Bond movie, and based on the trailer, it looks epic. Check out our top ten favorite trailer moments here.

Since the first Bond movie in 1962, the music and theme songs have been important elements in the overall Bond movie recipe. Spectre is going to need an epic, haunting song to accompany it.

An early guess for the artist was Sam Smith, which comes as no surprise. Smith is pretty much the hottest thing in British pop music right now and has the unique, soulful, and haunting voice needed to carry a Bond song. Smith put an end to the rumors on July 3rd though in an interview with Capital FM.

“People seem to think I’m doing it but I have no idea what’s going on,” Smith said. “I’m being deadly serious. I think I would know by now.”

We think you would probably know by now too, Sam, but you never know with the mystery of Bond. Maybe next time.

Ellie Goulding is another popularly rumored artist to be the voice behind the title track. She is British and has the interesting voice they look for. The evidence backing Goulding grew when she instagrammed a picture of herself leaving Abbey Road Studio, the studio in London where the Skyfall soundtrack was recorded.

In the past few weeks, Radiohead has emerged as a favorite after someone bet $23,000 on the band recording the song. Does this person have some secret insight? We would hope so if they are willing to wager that kind of money. Radiohead could definitely make an eerie and cool track, and Thom Yorke sounds like no one else in the business.

As the rumors continue to change, one thing we know for sure is whoever it is, has some big shoes to fill. Skyfall’s song, recorded by Adele, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, reached number two on the UK charts, and was the FIRST Bond song ever to win at the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards, and the Brit Awards.

Director Sam Mendes revealed that the theme song for the iconic film has been recorded and that the artist would be revealed soon. Now all we can do is wait.
