Take a look behind the scenes of Star Wars: The Last Jedi

So no, we didn’t get that full length trailer we’ve all been itching for since the first sneak peek. And unfortunately, no, tomorrow isn’t December and the release date for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is still impossibly far away (or so it seems). However, Lucasfilm and Disney have done us the sligh solid by releasing a behind the scenes featurette of the upcoming epic, and it will have to do to tide us over until the next official, full length trailer hits the interwebs. Directed by Rian Johnson (Brick, Looper), the film is expected to take on a more artistic sensibility behind the scenes with such a forceful visionary at the helm. From what we’ve gotten the chance to see so far, the visuals are gorgeous, capitalizing on the natural beauty of the location shoots and incredible wonders that technology can accomplish these days.

At this years D23 Expo, fans are being given ample reason to be excited, especially with claims from Disney’s CEO that Mark Hammill’s performance is “his best performance to date”.

After Rouge One: A Star Wars Story (which this critic admittedly liked more than most) many of us are ready to be back with characters Rey, Luke, Leia, Finn and Poe and back in the seats of the adventours any “Star Wars” film can bring us on. We’re in need of that comraderie and escapism and luckily for us, from what we’ve seen so far, this entry will be just what we’re looking for.

“The Last Jedi” will pick up just where Star Wars The Forcr Awakens left off as we follow Rey in her training with Luke Skywalker.
