Book Review: ‘Pretty Little Mistakes’ by Heather McElhatton

I found this book while checking out stuff at Urban Outfitters. I was intrigued by the fact that “Pretty Little Mistakes” was a Do-Over Novel and I had never read one of these before.

In Pretty Little Mistakes’ first page it says in big bold letters “CAUTION: DESTINY  IS OFFICIALLY IN YOUR HANDS. CHOOSE CAREFULLY. CHANGE EVERYTHING”, now that right there got me saying “whoa! its serious business!”.  The way the book works is that you read one page and at the end of it you have to make a decision, this one will lead you to another page. Like for example: “if you decide to go to college go to page __, if you decide to travel go to page __”. The book isn’t read the usual way, so you’ll be jumping from one page to another discovering different situations and events that will ultimately change your life in the book.
What I liked the most about the book was the fact that you’re given a second chance, which as you may all know, in real life never ever happens; and all these pretty little mistakes along the way will help you define who you become.

In the book, I’ve already died like 20 times, I’ve made both good and bad decisions LOL.

But overall, “Pretty Little Mistakes” is a fun book to check out. When I’m feeling bored and just want to read something to distract myself for a while, I just grab the book and go on a new journey every time.
