Music review: Britney Spears will hold it against you with “Femme Fatale”

It’s Britney B*tch!

Now with her 7th studio album, the princess of pop, Britney Spears, is on full motion electro. ‘Femme Fatale‘ is a record full of hype up songs and sick beats that everyone can ride out on their way to the club, as well as IN the club.

When Britney released both “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends“, we got a taste of what Femme Fatale would be like, it was the first time someone as popular as Britney tried doing a song with dubstep (even if it was a hint of it in HIAM) and that it actually sounded good and rather appealing to mainstream audiences. Yes, the majority of artists are doing the same, but who would think Britney would fall into the electronic movement too? Well, it works for Miss Spears. Femme Fatale is an album that I could listen to completely without skipping any song, and I even found myself dancing around my house while blasting it on the speakers. Even though, I knew this album would be very hype and all, there were still some songs such as “Criminal” and “He About To Lose Me” that were more slow tending to be more pop, less electro/house.

I must point out that Britney’s voice in some songs sounded waaay autotuned and artificial, but you know what? It fits in with the songs, its not the kind of autotune that would make you switch the song or anything like that. Doctor Luke and Max Martin did a great job with Britney with this album, this is kind of like the epitome of what electronic music is now and where its going to, a.k.a everywhere in the soundwaves.

Some of my favorite songs are “Seal It With A Kiss”, “Trouble For Me” and “I Wanna Go
