So I recently created an account on Netflix, and let me tell you, it was a great purchase. Within a week, I watched the entire season of “Bridalplasty.” I was in the mood to watch something girly, yet competitive, and what girl doesn’t love a good wedding show?!
Basically, the show was about a group of 12 women participating in challenges in order to win a plastic surgery on their “Wish List.” The winner of the challenge would be called “Top Bride” and would receive any surgery of their choice and two weeks of immunity in the competition. However, the two or three women who were in the bottom of the challenge would be called “The Bottom Brides,” all of whom would be up for elimination, and was risked to be sent home. Each week, all of the safe brides in the competition write on the RSVP card of the Bottom Bride they want to stay. At the RSVP ceremony, the Bottom Bride with the least number of brides at their table is sent home. However, the bride that makes it to the end receives all of the surgeries on her Wish List, as well as a celebrity styled wedding.
Let me tell you, these women were crazy. There was a group of four women, which in the beginning, made a pact that if one of them was up for elimination, they would all have to sit at their table, in order to avoid elimination. The queen of the pact was Janessa; she was genius, but probably the most vicious and conniving bride in the house. The other brides called her a snake because she used strategy in order to get to the finale; she didn’t deserve to make it to the finale, like everyone else.
At the final RSVP ceremony, both Janessa and a the innocent competitor, Allyson had to prepare and give a speech to the “Bridal Panel.” Janessa had the impression that the panel was going to consist of all of the celebrity wedding professions they have met throughout the competition, but it was the lovely competitors that Janessa kicked out of the house.
I think when Allyson saw all of her friends in the panel, she was extremely happy and relieved. In her speech, she spoke about her financial issues, but more importantly, she spoke about how much she’s changed as a person. She recalls the time where she was so sad and negative because she felt like everything around her was screaming “bad luck,” but finally, “good luck” has come her way, and she thanks those girls for doing that for her.
It was interesting, since you would think that Janessa would give a killer speech, since she is a very convincing competitor. But, I think she was caught by surprise with the panel, and made up the speech moments before she gave it. She basically said “I know you all hate me and I’m sorry for that, but please pick the person you actually thinks deserves this celebrity wedding.” The one piece of advice that I would give to anyone giving is speech, is to not speak about events in the past that does not support your case.
Nevertheless, there is a God. Although Janessa made it to the finale, she didn’t win. The kind hearted, Allyson, won.

I really loved this show because it was very suspenseful. I love shows about weddings, and moreover, I love television shows that involve plastic surgery. It’s kind of like a combination of Dr. 90210 and Say Yes to the Dress. The selection of shows on Netflix is quite overwhelming, so I plan to watch a new show each week and share my thoughts. If you have a Netflix account, I highly recommend watching this show. I just couldn’t get over how amazing it was. And yet, there is only one season of the show, which I don’t particularly understand. Although I didn’t have the chance to see it live on television, I’m still watching it, just the same. So…watch it! You won’t regret it!
