Film Review: “My Soul To Take”

“My Soul To Take”, another horror movie by the famous Wes Craven.

Is it scary? Yes.

Is there a lot of suspense? Yes.

Even though it is scary and there’s lots of suspense in it, some of the acting was pretty bad and the ending was a serious “wtf” moment. I suggest “rent it”, unless you’re down to go with your friends and get a good laugh.

Yes, a good laugh because some of the scenes were meant to be so scary made everyone crack up. Some scenes were predictable too, but come on, which scary movie isn’t predictable?

Something I really REALLY don’t understand is why if 7 kids know that their birthday comes along with some sort of a curse and that danger is OUT there just waiting for you… Why the hell would you go take a walk in THE WOODS? Or WHY if you hear a noise would you go after it? Lmao. Oh ..horror movies, you piss me off sometimes.

This movie blends the whole schizophrenia/mental disease with mass murder, so you already know you’re up for something/someone crazy..and bloody.

Bug (Max Thieriot) steals the show. The rest of the actors performances were..okay. They were so “okay” that some members of the audience laughed while the scene was supposed to be “dramatic”.

So yeah Young Folks, if you have enough money to go watch it go, if you don’t then save up and rent it later. This is not a must.

Peace!

“My Soul To Take” is now out in theaters.
