Now that Jules and company figured out Sawyer’s vision and prevented a school shooting from being as deadly as it was prophesized, they’re worried the visions curse has passed on to one of the victims of the shooting. Jules feels responsible, since she believes this started with her and she had passed it on to her boyfriend, Sawyer, when she saved him. Convincing Ben, one of the college students they saved from the shooting, to help them track down the victims, they find that the one who has inherited the visions. Only problem is that she was shot and is stuck at the hospital with an overbearing mother, who thinks Jules and Sawyer are crazy with their stories of visions and prophesies.
Jules and Sawyer try to work with the girl as stealthily as possible, but several other things are going on in their own lives. They can’t give this mission the time it deserves. Will they make it in time? Do they have a responsibility to the vision curse? All gets answered in this final chapter.
Readers can expect something a little different with Gasp. For one, it doesn’t precisely follow the same formula as the previous two books. The situation is quite different this time around, and we see things go down that aren’t related to the visions. Also, there’s much more action, a plus when listening to an audiobook.

Gasp does a nice job of wrapping up all the loose ends. I was a bit surprised by how it all came together. I was half expecting it to lead to another book or leave some questions open. McMann finds a plausible way to end this story for Jules and her family and friends.
The audiobooks, ranging around five hours, are a better way to experience the story. They add to the suspense and set the right pace for you to experience the story. I’m sure if I read these books, I’d speed through them so quickly that I’d miss out on some important details.
If you’re looking for entertaining suspense novels with a touch of supernatural, the Visions trilogy is a good choice. They aren’t exactly thought-provoking or challenging reads. They’re slightly more intriguing than the casual beach read. Yet, Visions do provide a solid plot with charming characters that make it worth checking out.
