Top 10 Albums of 2010

So much great music was released this year! Here are the top albums we have been jamming to throughout the year:

10. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Original Soundtrack – The amazing selection of songs and artists is what always captures the attention of everyone, not just Twilight fans.

9. Doo-Wops & Hooligans by Bruno Mars – I want to be a ‘Billionaire’ to catch a ‘Grenade’ for Hawaii’s golden boy that is on the radio 24/7!

8. B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray – B.o.B. brings a new, fresh style of hip-hop. The collaborations on the album are great. It’s one of the most “listenable” albums of the year.

7. Contra by Vampire Weekend –   With their second album, we realize that mainstream suits Vampire Weekend well.  We don’t mind that “Holiday” has played in a ton of commercials lately.

6. Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager by Kid Cudi – Mr Rager! Tell us of your stories! Tell us of your travels!

5. Teenage Dream by Katy Perry – Katy Perry has become an icon in today’s pop music. Her second album beats her first. We all loved California Gurls. We all loved Teenage Dream. Now we all love Firework. Keep them coming, Katy!

4. Speak Now by Taylor Swift – Very catchy tunes and songs. She sheds light on past failed relationships and dramas. Surprisingly, the world isn’t sick of it yet. This album is a great follow-up to the Grammy-winning “Fearless.” However, we think that sharing her personal life might start to stale out soon.

3. Loud by Rihanna – Is there somewhere around the world where Rihanna is not being played LOUD? Finally, Rihanna is back with a great album. All the songs are pretty awesome.

2. Recovery by Eminem – Eminem is back to stay on top of the charts. This album deserves to be topping charts. Eminem shows a new side of him. He’s older now, and “not afraid.” This is the Eminem we’ve been waiting to hear.

1. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West – Simply the best. Kanye comes back stronger than ever with an album that shows his pride, vulnerability, anger and soul. Despite your opinions on Kanye’s personality, you cannot deny the man has talent & deserves so much recognition for this masterpiece.
