Episode 3 of Swagger on the run. The tables turned at the conclusion of the last episode when Swagger decided he’s becoming the hunter! Swagger can’t even buy any band-aids without having a gun pointed at him at the convenience store. Speaking of pointing guns, Swagger is pointing a rifle at old buddy Isaac Johnson, while they have a phone conversation. Swagger warns Johnson that he will stay alive if his family stays safe.

Johnson is now taking matters to his own hands and assembles a squad to take out Swagger. He warns his squad about the dangers that Swagger possesses. Desperate measures call for desperate things. The plan of action is to get to Swagger’s wife. She can’t even shop without the FBI cornering her in grocery stores. Smart plan of action, but desperate. She runs away from the FBI to the bathroom to find Swagger standing behind her. Creeper. He warns her that the FBI is coming after her, and he will try to get her out of the country. How did he know she would be in the ladies bathroom? How did he get in there? I want to know the Swagger ways.

A security guard pays for being on duty, he gets attacked by Swagger. No reason besides just to get a walkie talkie. Swagger’s wife does stellar work during questioning. Meanwhile Swagger calls his buddy Alexi’s high powered female friend. He calls with the favor of getting his family out of the country. After the questioning session, Memphis has a brief conversation with Swagger’s wife in the elevator. She warns Memphis about the Kyle (the cop who caught Swagger at the hotel on the day of the assassination). Awkward encounter.

Memphis wastes no time to get Kyle to the bar with her. It wasn’t a long flirtation as he walks out once he realizes she isn’t taking him upon his advances. Next, Swagger finds himself at a Veterans Affairs Center. He visits a prosthetics guy, Ron, played by former Tennessee Titans legend Eddie George. Apparently they are friends from the war. Ron has a quick change of heart and hands him the rock (I had to go with that pun), actually he gives him a box with something important in it (like a gun).

Swagger calls Memphis to warn give her some info on Kyle. Speaking of Kyle, he finds himself being interrogated and tied to a chair with a gun pointing his head. A shot goes off as the screen fades into a commercial. It’s same to presume that Kyle won’t be joining us anymore. Memphis finally gets home after a long day, but Swagger is already hanging out on her couch. He tells her that Kyle has been killed. Swagger is under the conclusion that the Russians are working with high level United States government officials. He tips her off to a Russian journalist that might be the key to solving this mess. He wants Memphis to help him.

Next, Swagger lets off some steam by shooting a deer. (I’m getting PETA on this.) Swagger visits a convenience store to get some snacks, of course he visits the same store that had a gun pointing at him earlier in the episode. Ballsy move, Swagger. Johnson storms into the Swagger home requesting his wife to provide him the potential whereabouts of her husband. She finally folded. The entire squad team pays a visit to the cabin that Swagger is hiding out in, but by the time they raid it, Swagger has them in his crosshairs and unleashes a shot from the bushes that creates a big explosion.

The search of Swagger’s cabin is making Johnson a bit anxious. Memphis gets a call from Swagger and he tells her he’s trusting her with his life. So that’s all she wrote for the third episode. I still don’t see how Swagger is being the hunter when he’s still constantly on the run and isn’t chasing anyone down? The story is beginning to unfold. Plot thickens, and there are more pieces of the puzzle put together each episode. Memphis is on the verge of siding and partnering up with Swagger. Things are moving along.
