Music News: The Wombats Release “Be Your Shadow” Video

After wrapping the North American leg of their most recent tour, The Wombats released the video for their fourth Glitterbug single, “Be Your Shadow.” The video premiered on Soccer AM in England, and was quickly sent to the band’s email subscribers.

The past few videos from the Liverpudlian band have revolved around people who are not actually band members. “Be Your Shadow” follows suit; the video is about a guy who aspires to compete against a champion wrestler. There are some training montages before he ultimately faces his hero in the ring. He takes quite a beating, but is happy about it.

I’m not the biggest fan of this video; I felt that previous videos “Greek Tragedy” and “Give Me a Try” both had stronger concepts. Still, well executed with some uncomfortable angles.
