If the name Emily West rings a bell, you have probably seen her on America’s Got Talent Season Nine. This vocal powerhouse is now hitting the music scene by storm as she releases the official music video for “Bitter,” her recent single that has a twang of country. “Bitter” can be found on her album All For You, which you can pre-order here.

One her album you will find three covers that were shown during her time on America’s Got Talent, as well as three original songs. She has an eclectic sound that is a mix of rock, country, and jazzy blues. Emily has a flare that is sure to electrify the music scene.

Speaking of covers, I have listened to a number of them, and they each take my breath away. She puts a great spin in each cover that she does. One of my favorites is her cover of “Only One” by Kanye West. Emily does a great job of making the track her own. She adds a jazzy flare to the track and showcases off her vocal range. The touch of strings throughout the cover adds the perfect touch to bring it together.

But if you want a full-on jazz song without the pop lyrical vibe, I would recommend that you listen to her track ‘Two Sleepy People,” which features Ron Sexsmith. The duet perform the song in such an elegant manner. The song transports you back to the time of the 1920s, where black and white films were popular and smoky, jazz night clubs were where you got to listen to great live music.

You can listen to her full album, All For You, when it launches on August 14.
