Everyone gets sick eventually. Jessica found out that she is no exception when it comes to illness as she got sick this episode. The transition from what she imagined in her head to reality was uniquely done. I thought the episode was broken when Honey said she had been talking for five minutes, but it didn’t show it. Then to have reality strike and see how bad Jessica actually was only for her to still not realize that she was sick was a nice touch. It was also hilarious to see her scream the second after she fell asleep. Neither Louis or myself saw it coming.
That joke was then followed by another funny one when he tries to explain to the boys that their mother is sick, but they just don’t get it. Louis quickly loses his cool and yells it at them only for them to be shocked and confused.
What was great about the Huang guys hanging out was that they all bonded together in order for them to see the Battle Of The Swamp Creatures. They convinced Evan (aka the Second Mother) that it would be for science. Eddie got his homework done, and he even burnt his pencil down to the nub. Louis even went along with buying party snacks, the cardboard cutout of Carmen Electra, and most important agreeing to pay for the show.
While the match between King Crawdad and Fish-head Jackson was going down everyone assumed that Jessica was sick in bed. Little did they know that she snuck out and went to the match with Honey, which they found out by seeing her in the crowd. Turns out she was feeling better, but she wanted a longer break so she faked being sick.
Once she got home they all had a meaningful discussion on how everyone needs a break sometimes. They boys don’t like being watched, and she doesn’t like having to do so much, so it was agreed that things would be a little more relaxed. Most of the boys figured out what to do on their own, except Evan. Jessica made herself a nice breakfast which she must’ve eaten after she showed Louis the smaller, but newer TV. The old TV is with Brian and the stolen Carmen Electra cutout.
Let’s not forget that Evan made a bet with Marvin about the match, and it turns out that Evan lost. He tried to “cute face” his way out of it, but Marvin is stronger than that, so he made him clean his car instead. A bet is a bet.
Also, they never returned that book.
