Jon Interviews the Crew of Ghost Adventures

Have you ever seen things inexplicably move before your eyes? Ever witness what looks like a transparent person hovering past? Ever feel an invisible, malevolent force push or harm you? If you answered yes to any of the above, I would move out of where ever you live fast. But before that I would call in the expert, phenomenon-catching crew from Travel Channel’s hit-show, Ghost Adventures.

Any fan of Ghost Adventures knows that ghosts are no laughing matter. Some are just helpless, trapped and need help moving on. Others just died horrible deaths and now haunt the place of their death. Let’s not even get started on the demons…

For those of you now interested in watching the show, the Ghost Adventures team consists of Zak Bagans (expert ghost hunter), Nick Groff (expert ghost hunter), and Aaron Goodwin (ghost hunter and tech specialist). They have witnessed and experienced a wide range of paranormal incidents, and this season is no different. In an exclusive interview with the Ghost Adventures Crew (GAC), they gave us a couple of extra details on what to expect this season, what plans they have for the next season, and a little more information about themselves.

What makes this season different from the others? The GAC all say that this season is much more intense with the paranormal events being much stronger, and at times, much more dangerous, as seen by last week’s episode at Point Sur Lighthouse. The GAC agree that if you can only watch any 3 episodes this season (which is preposterous because you know you’re going to watch all of them), it would have to be last week’s episode at Point Sur Lighthouse, tonight’s episode at the Palmer House, and then the upcoming episode at the Sedamsville Rectory. But, if you can only see one episode this season (even more preposterous than the earlier question), the lockdown at the Sedamsville Rectory is the one to see.

Zak had this to say about the Rectory:

“…[T]his rectory is where they sent priests that got in trouble and it is documented that at the Sedamsville Rectory they sent a priest that was convicted of child molestations and there was also dog fighting – illegal dog fighting that took place at the rectory as so claimed. And, you know, God says that some of the most defenseless things that He’s created are children and animals. If you harm those two things, you are a man of evil. And so that rectory has been cursed by some kind of demonic curse and a demonic presence…”

I was given a chance to see this episode, and let me tell you, it’s very terrifying. Without giving too much away, I will say that the demonic presence is so strong, that the GAC have to ask for the help of a Father who has been trained in performing exorcisms. That episode is set to air in a couple of weeks so keep an eye out!

These guys are always trying to take us to the best places with the highest levels of known activity, but what places would they love to go and have a lockdown that they haven’t been able to yet? I asked each of them and their answers were great. Aaron would love to do either the Egyptian Pyramids (where many a dead Egyptian was laid to rest), as well as the infamous Dracula’s castle. For those of you thinking that the castle was a myth, or that there was no Dracula, think again. There really was a Dracula AKA Vlad the Impaler. Although he didn’t necessarily drink blood, he sure didn’t have a problem spilling it.

While Aaron’s place would make for an amazing episode, Nick’s was more realistic, but still out of reach. Nick would love the chance to investigate the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane. This Asylum was open from the 1800’s to the late 1900’s, housing the worst of the worst, with a lot of strange, unexplained incidents. It is now considered a historical landmark, and owned by the state of New York so being given permission to investigate there will be a tough sell. But don’t lose hope yet because it is very possible that Zak’s choice of location could easily be an episode for next season. The main reason is because Zak thinks the crew should investigate his house. Zak has been witnessing weird things happening in his home, along with a large, unexplainable, thick mist floating past.

When I asked if it was unusual for any entities or energies to follow the GAC home, they all say it happens more often than you’d think. Zak told us of something that happened to him just earlier that day:

“Yes, it’s kind of like a lockdown hangover I call it, you know, like if we go on an investigation and there’s different levels of when we feel we’re in interaction with them, but if we start getting that feeling – that chill, that’s our body’s alarm saying ‘Hey guys, there’s spirits here, get ready.’ But when you feel that your hair stands up on end, and you get those goose bumps and you start feeling weird, that is a release of your own energy and a transmission of theirs. So from within that your body goes into kind of a shock and that shock is felt typically a couple days after, but yes you can have attachments as well. I’ve had some crazy shit happen in my house, you know, typically after intense lockdowns. Like I just woke up today and I have this huge five inch scratch on my stomach. I just took a picture of it before I started this call.”

Hopefully we can see this episode next season, but for now we can enjoy their 7th season, which as I’ve already seen, has much and more to offer. If you’d like to learn more about this great show, check out their webpage here. Don’t forget to watch the show live tonight on The Travel Channel!
