MTV Reboots Fan Favorite Teen Drama ‘The Hills’

During this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, the network announced the return of fan favorite teen drama, The Hills, with a reboot. The new docuseries, The Hills: New Beginnings, will jump back in with the original cast members (minus Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, and Kristin Cavallari). The show is set to premiere in 2019.

To create more buzz, various cast members made a red carpet appearance ahead of the award show, including Spencer & Heidi Pratt (plus their son, Gunner), Audrina Patridge, Jason Wahler, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt and Frankie Delgado. According to The Wrap, the new series will follow the cast living their lives in Los Angeles as they navigate their new roles as adults versus teenagers.

The original show ran for six seasons on MTV and featured drama everyone just couldn’t get enough of, obviously. With the positive response of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, it was only a matter of time until a reboot for The Hills happened.
