Top 10 All-Time Favorite ‘Gossip Girl’ Quotes

With only two episodes left (TEARS!), I decided to take a look back at the past seasons of Gossip Girl and pull some of my all-time favorite quotes from the series. When researching, I totally realized that it was mostly Chuck and Blair that dealt out the most wit and touching words that had cemented themselves in my memory (and heart). It’s without a doubt that those two characters, along with Dan, Serena and Nate, are what make Gossip Girl so special to me.

It was SUPER hard narrowing down this list to only ten quotes. Six seasons of Upper East Side wittiness can’t just be summed up in ten quotes. But for this article, I decided I was up for the challenge. Anyway, without further adieu, here are my Top 10 all-time favorite quotes from Gossip Girl (in no particular order):

“Why should I be chosen as an usher? …I’m Chuck Bass.”

Chuck Bass says this to a Dartmouth representative in the first season of the show. This is probably not just Chuck’s most famous line, but the entire show’s. It expresses how entitled the Upper East Siders can be; it’s a really bold statement for a student to make to a college admissions officer. Because of all that, I love it so much.

“Whoever said that money doesn’t buy happiness didn’t know where to shop.”

Blair says this in Season 1, and I love it because it alludes to the show’s fashion. Half the fun of Gossip Girl is seeing all the clothes Blair, Serena and even Chuck get to wear!

-+-

“Haven’t you heard? I’m the crazy bitch around here.”

I love when Blair says this to Georgina Sparks in season one! No one schemes a take-down as well as Blair. [Click on the picture above for video.]

“3 words, 8 letters. Say it, and I’m yours.”

One of the first major heart-breaking moments between Chuck and Blair happened in the Season 2 premiere. It took Chuck the whole season to finally say those words to Blair. [Click picture for video.]

“The next time you forget you’re Blair Waldorf, remember I’m Chuck Bass. And I love you.”

In fact, this whole little speech Chuck gives in the video is perfect. This happened in Season 3 when Blair was trying to impress her peers at NYU.

-+-

“Did you have a reason for coming to see me? Because if it was to insult me, there’s a website you can go to.”

Chuck says this to Vanessa in the middle of season two, “Chuck In Real Life.” Oh, you are witty, Mr. Bass.

-+-

“Are you high? That guy looks like Matthew McConaughey between movies.”

Chuck is talking to Nate about Carter Baizen (guest star Sebastian Stan) in Season 1 episode, “Bad News Blair.” I love it because it references real world pop culture. It’s one of the things that always made GG’s dialogue so entertaining and relevant.

-+-

“We don’t judge. We’re the Non Judging Breakfast Club, we’re your best friends.”

Blair says to Serena when convincing her to confide in her friends. It’s one of those quotes that stuck out to fans, and why we’re frequently referring to the NJBC (Non-Judging Breakfast Club).

-+-

“Damn that mother Chucker!”

Season 2 campaigned its premiere around Blair’s aspirating one-liner. How can you not love it?

 -+-

“I’m not a stop along the way. I’m a destination. And if you refuse to come, I’m gonna need to find a replacement… Girls, the waiting list?”

This quote is just SO Blair, and for that, I love it. It not only alludes to Blair’s narcissism, but also her minions. What is Blair without them?

I know I’m missing many awesome quotes! Please feel free to share your favorite Gossip Girl quotes from all six seasons in the comments below!
