Fallout Television Series Rumored

Bethesda Softworks has recently filed a trademark for what appears to be a future television show. Although the Fallout name is already trademarked and tied to a variety of different properties, the new filing seeks to expand the franchise with regards to “Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.” You can see the actual application on the Patent and Trademark Office’s website. The trademark filing doesn’t officially confirm the development of such a television series, but we can definitely hope for some related news in the near future.

Companies are known to file trademarks simply to secure their brand name, so only time will tell if the project sees the light of day. Things at Bethesda are pretty hectic as it is, with Zenimax Online Studios prepping for the first beta test of the highly anticipated MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online. With Fallout and Elder Scrolls being Bethesda’s two biggest properties, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that they’re trying to expand the scope of their franchises.
