Top 10 Must-See TV Shows on Netflix

[tps_title]1. How I Met Your Mother[/tps_title]

For years I’ve heard that this show was to die for and I never understood what they meant until I watched the first episode. I was hooked. It was absolutely insane. I laugh, I cry; I was entertained like never before. I was crying with tears of joy when Netflix recently added on the 8th season. Trust me, every episode is worth watching. I’m super picky when it comes to Netflix shows because I really commit to the show, and this is the all-time best decision I’ve ever made.

[tps_title]2. New Girl[/tps_title]

After watching “How I Met Your Mother,” I was afraid to watch a show I wouldn’t love as much. Nevertheless, “New Girl” was superb. I’ve been told that you either watch this show because you want to marry Zooey Deschanel or you want to be Zooey Deschanel. Ugh, I love her so much it hurts; such a fashion icon. Super funny and a few shocking moments. I know a lot of “New Girl” fans were pumped when Netflix added the 2nd season, including myself. The 3rd season of the show is currently airing live on television on Tuesdays.

I’m not necessarily a person to love lawyer shows, like Law and Order, but this show was phenomenal. The gist of the show is a beautiful model who dies in a car accident, but her soul travels into a successful lawyer’s body, who died at the same time. This show was not all about law cases, but it involved issues about love, friendships, and self-acceptance…the cases brought an interesting tie into it. Loved it, though. Really fabulous. Definitely more of a chick-flick sort of show, but never a dull moment. Each episode brings more and more suspense, and you just don’t want to stop watching!

This show was extremely interesting, merely because there are such few prison shows that are actually entertaining. I believe that this one of Netflix’s newer additions, and definitely a show with few dull moments. Super intriguing and a huge hit with the younger audience, the show is basically about a woman who is sentenced to prison for 15 months because of drug-related convictions, and we live vicariously through her experiences.

[tps_title]5. Grey’s Anatomy[/tps_title]

For a couple of years, I’ve heard of people literally being addicted to this show. There were so many interesting aspects to this show because as viewers we expect to see these doctor-actors to observe patients with insane diseases, but we never think about the fact that doctors actually have a social life. This show definitely has brought me to appreciate the anatomy of the body and makes me more interested in the subject. The combination of entertainment comedy and fascinating operations or patients really created the major appeal.

At first, I was a little disturbed by the filming of the show because it was kind of all over the place and made me nauseous. However, once I got past the poor camera work, the content of the show was hilarious. These actors understand how to make a dull comment the funniest thing you’ve heard. This show is only on Netflix and was taken off of television, probably due to poor viewership. Yet, once the show hit Netflix, it has been a huge hit. [tps_title]7. The Office[/tps_title]

I heard so many great things about this show, and it was unfortunate that it took me this long to get around to watching it. Steve Carell is clearly the star of the show, and he really adds that spark of humor that we all need and want. Extremely entertaining, and worth watching, imagine a bunch of diverse office workers…that is this show. [tps_title]8. 30 Rock[/tps_title]

I praise Tina Fey after watching this show. She runs the show…literally. There was probably never a moment throughout the show that I didn’t stop laughing. In fact, the jokes kept on coming and there was a point that I had to pause the show and calm down. It’s literally a bunch of nut-jobs trying to make a crazy business even crazier. So hilarious, so amazing, worth watching every minute.[tps_title]9. Parks and Recreation [/tps_title]

The moment I started watching it, it was just so quirky and weird, almost making it even more appealing. Amy Poehler is quite the nut-case, but goes above and beyond with her acting abilities. Such a hilarious show, and I love how Poehler plays such a passionate, enthusiastic and weird character while everyone else seems pretty sane. The contrast of characters adds such a humorous element, allowing viewers to love it even more. New episodes were just added on Netflix, so I would be sure to check them out![tps_title]10. Vampire Diaries[/tps_title]

This show definitely has the elements of mystery and suspense, that keeps the viewers from wanting more, as we’ve grown older from the days of “Sabrina and the Teenage Witch” the whole witch/vampire aspect left television. However, this show brings a modern-day twist to it, bringing the supernatural-lovers back into the swing of things. Me, and I’m sure everyone else, loves the whole concept of the mortal and supernatural world interfering with each other, creating an eternal conflict.
