TV Show review: ‘Misfits’ Series 3 premiere

By: LucianaVee

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know I was freaking out last night watching the season premiere for ‘Misfits’ seres 3. And this is my somewhat short video review. However, I noticed there’s a weird sound coming from my computer so I’m going to write down some of my thoughts on yesterday’s episode.

‘Misfits’ left off last season with the ASBO five (Nathan, Simon, Kelly, Curtis & Alisha) defeating “Jesus” and deciding to give up their original powers in order for them to get new ones and the cliffhanger that we had to hold on to for 1 year was finding out what would they pick. As we all know, Nathan (Robert Sheehan) left the show and so did his characterduring the webisodes of him in Vegas with his new magician power and the troubles he gets into. Sad, sad news. Nathan was one of the characters that I loved the most, especially his sarcasm and comedic remarks.

However, as the new episode begins we’re introduced to the new character of Rudy, who was as well affected by the storm and we get to see his power and throughout the episode we find out what did everyone else picked.

Misfits‘ stands as one of my favorite shows ever, the amount of action and backstory to the characters gets me saying “oh sh*t” over and over, and I am beyond excited for what is in store for us in Series 3. If you’re wondering if you’ll like the new guy trust me you will or with time you’ll get to like him. I like the depth that there is to his character something that with Nathan we couldn’t get since his character is one-sided and you would only see the funny version of him, rarely did we get to see Nathan in a deeply emotional state that Rudy’s character delivers.

The show turns all kinds of crazy which is usual, and it’s off to a good start. Community blowback payback here they come!

Here’s my video review. And I’m dressed up as a football player lol (Happy Halloween!), I apologize in advance for that weird sound in the background!
