What to Look Forward to in Under the Dome Season 2

The miniseries that dominated the airwaves for most of last year’s summer is back once again with even more mysteries to uncover as the dome becomes more interactive with the residents of Chester’s Mill. Even though the last season hit an anticlimax, I’ve decided that until the secrets behind the dome are uncovered, I’ll keep watching it. With that said, I’ve developed a brief list of all the things to look forward to in this upcoming season.

  1. The Monarch

In the last episode for the first season of Under the Dome, we discovered that Julia (not Barbie) was the monarch. But what the hell does this actually mean? Minutes before the episode ended, Julia dropped the black “egg” that the dome had magically produced into a lake which caused pink stars to shoot up out of nowhere and eventually envelop the dome in light. Does this mean that Julia is the one who is going to bring down the dome?

  1. The Black Egg

On top of everything, what does this mysterious black “egg” have to do with anything? The Pink Stars group feels as if the egg is a controller for the dome since everything that happens to the egg happens to the dome. Is it really? Or is it more hazardous to Chester’s Mill residents than it seems?

  1. “The Pink Stars are Falling in Lines”

Now that the “pink stars” have finally made their appearance…what is their purpose? Were they only there to create the light that engulfed the dome or is there some deeper meaning to these glowing pink streams of light?

  1. The Dome vs. Big Jim

With the dome being more interactive than before, the inhabitants of Chester’s Mill are in a state of fear. Yet, the only thing Big Jim fears is losing his power over the residents. What does the new season hold for Big Jim? Will the so-called “protectors” of the dome show their face? Or will creepier stuff just happen and leave us all in the dark again?
