We just have a few more weeks left until we get to return to our favorite Storybrooke residents, but Once Upon A Time’s Season 5 images that were released only proceeded to make us more anxious to meet the new characters, and discover just how well Emma is coping with becoming Dark Swan.
ABC released promotional images of the new season, showing Emma and the former Dark One, Rumpelstiltskin, undergoing some training, as well as the new characters – Merida (Amy Manson), King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), Lancelot (Sinqua Walls) and Percival (Andrew Jenkins).
We can only assume that Rumple is helping Emma understand her new powers while on the way to Camelot, especially since King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table make an appearance.
The synopsis for the Season 5 premiere reads: “Immediately after becoming the Dark One, Emma disappears and the heroes must band together to save her, but first they have to find her, which will require the help of an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, in the Enchanted Forest, Emma struggles to resist her dark urges as she searches for Merlin in the hope that he can stop her transformation. Along the way to Camelot, she gets help from the plucky and brave warrior princess Merida, as well as King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, in the adventure-filled season 5 premiere of Once Upon a Time.”
