She’s known for playing powerhouse roles in Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives, and now former Miss America, Vanessa Williams has joined the cast of The Good Wife.
Alan Cumming, who plays the prolific Eli Gold, confirmed the casting to TVLine on the red carpet at the Primetime Emmy Awards last night.
Vanessa Williams will be playing Eli’s new love interest, following in the footsteps of her Ugly Betty co-star, America Ferrera.
The Good Wife returns for Season 7 on October 4th on CBS.
