Iconic British shoegazing band Ride have announced for their first album since 1996.
Weather Diaries will be released on June 16 through Wichita Records. The album was produced by Erol Alkin, a DJ and remixer who has previously produced records by artists such as The Long Blondes and Mystery Jets.
Pre-orders for the album, on both CD and LP formats, can be made on Wichita’s official storefront.
Weather Diaries is Ride’s first since 1996’s Tarantula. The group broke up later that year, and frontman Andy Bell became the bass player for Oasis in 1999, sticking with that band until their own breakup in 2009. Ride reformed in 2014 and have toured across the world ever since, including a stop at the Coachella Festival in 2015.
Late last month, the band released two singles from the then-unannounced album: “Charm Assault” on February 21 and “Home is a Feeling” the next day.
The band is promoting “Charm Assault” as the album’s lead single, and have released a music video for it, which you can view below:
