Part two of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy has a new trailer, and it shows many surprises! Among them is the return of Orlando Bloom‘s Legolas. We also meet the elf Tauriel, Evangeline Lilly‘s (Lost) new character and Thranduil, played by Lee Pace. But lets not forget about big ol’ Smaug, voiced by none other than Benedict Cumberbatch. In this installment, Bilbo Baggins continues to travel with the wizard Gandalf and a company of thirteen dwarves led by Thorin to combat the dragon Smaug.
‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug‘ also stars Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Cate Blanchet, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Sylvester McCoy and Luke Evans. I think the best part of the whole trailer is Mr. Cumberbatch’s voice as Smaug. Intriguing and menacing at the same time, don’t you think? Watch it below and let us know your thoughts!
‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ will open on December 13th, while the trilogy’s conclusion, ‘The Hobbit: There and Back Again‘, will premiere on December 17th, 2014. Are you looking forward in watching them?
