Our heroes have set themselves on a quests to secure invitations to a wild and lavish party in order to stage a heist, but in order to do so, they have split off for their own individual adventures for the next few episodes.
Flint continues to do battle in the Hall of War, going toe to toe with an imposing Goliath twice his height, but if there’s one thing not to count out, it’s that dwarf’s resilience.
Alexandrus leaves Flint to his own devices and heads out to the Holy Concordance to speak to Heerib, the leader and peacekeeper amongst all religious entities in the city. With a robe made of galaxies and stars and a deliberant tone of speaking, she informs Alexandrus he can become her spy and detective if he first proves himself by undergoing a case of a missing person and a reported “hanged man” sending death threats to people.
Ori goes off to the grand Bazaar of the city, navigating the overcrowded and exotic streets in order to find the Spice Guild and a wealthy dragonborn named Charkath. After a bit of convincing and conniving, Ori has managed to secure a position as an errand boy to the mogul, and in doing so discovers yet another cryptic fortuneteller with some foreboding warnings.
And then there is Merit and Karnov, who somehow, against all odds, convince a bugbear bouncer that “Rock and Roll All Nite” is such a magnificent song, that the next up and coming bard in the city needs to hear them out. And so they have come to meet and befriend Ziggy Starchild, a magnificent melodious man, by giving him the Amulet of Royal Loyalty, the major main story McGuffin.
What will be the repercussions of all our heroes’ actions? Only time will tell, but whatever it is, it’ll be some pure, chaotic D&D.
