YA adaptations are a big commodity at San Diego Comic Con ever since the Twilight fandom blew up there a few years ago. So it’s no surprise that studios are showcasing their new young adult book-to-movie adaptations at SDCC. **Check out @TYFofficial on Instagram to see photos from SDCC**

Sony is betting big on The Mortal Instruments. The first installment of the series, City of Bones, hits the big screen next month, and they’re already planning to start production on the sequel this fall. Author Cassandra Clare joined the cast that includes Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell-Bower, Robert Sheehan, Godfrey Gao and Kevin Zegers.
Divergent is touted at the next “Hunger Games,” which isn’t too far-fetched as it’s another brilliantly plotted dystopian tale. Shailene Woodley leads the cast of the Neil Burger directed pic. Her co-stars, Theo James, Maggie Q, Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Mekhi Phifer, Ansel Elgort and author Veronica Roth were part of the panel. Also, check out the Ender’s Game panel which featured the director and cast, including Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld & Harrison Ford.
