The ‘Legends of Oz Express’ is Coming to Miami!

Get those ruby slippers ready, Miami! Dorothy, Toto and their new friend Wiser the Owl are coming to your hometown. The Legends of Oz Express is making a pit stop in Miami as part of the 12 city tour. Taking place Saturday, May 24th at Jungle Island, families can come by and participate in arts & crafts, games and interactive activities! Parents and kids alike are also encouraged to bring in a book of their choice as a contribution to the Miami Dade Public Library System in order to inspire children and adults of all ages to experience the magic of literature.

THE “LEGENDS OF OZ EXPRESS” IS COMING TO MIAMI!

Dorothy, Toto and friends from LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN to bring a family-friendly tour and book drive to Jungle Island on May 24!

Miami, Florida (May 24, 2014) – The LEGENDS OF OZ Express keeps on rolling! Extended by popular demand! Join Dorothy, Toto, and their new friend, Wiser the Owl, from the brand new 3D animated feature, LEGENDS OF OZ: DOROTHY’S RETURN, as they bring the magical world of Oz to kids across the U.S. on the “Legends of Oz Express”! The Oz-someness takes place from 10am until 3pm on Saturday, May 24 at Jungle Island as part of a twelve-city tour. Families will follow their hearts at the Tin Man’s Friendship Club by making friendship pins, test their brains in the Scarecrow’s Workshop with arts and crafts, and show their courage by performing on the Lion’s “Mane” stage. They will also hang out in cozy “Candy County” and hear the story that inspired the film, Dorothy of Oz, written by celebrated children’s author Roger Stanton Baum. Kids will virtually follow the yellow brick road in the “Legends of Oz World” iPad gaming stations, and Dorothy and her friends will be there for pictures, prizes and fun! To help even more children experience the magic of books, imagination, and the wonder of Oz, guests are encouraged to bring a new book to be donated to the Miami-Dade Public Library System. Summer’s on its way — and will be a great time to get electrified with a good book, discover sizzling finds, or start a reading chain reaction at the library. The Miami-Dade Public Library System invites all to sign up for its Summer Reading Program, June 7 through July 17, where they’ll be able to win great prizes!
