Brooke Pawling Stennett is a college student pursuing a degree in Multimedia Journalism and Creative Non-Fiction in the old Windy City. She tends to lean toward the obsessive side of the tracks when it comes to books and music. She's an avid concert attendee (or at least she tries to!) and rambler. She'd like to travel the world and write about it, but in the only ways she knows how: sarcastically and full of internet jargon. Her opinions are her best ones, especially if they involve boy-bands and Netflix. . .even though she doesn't even have her own account. You can tweet her at @br_stennett and tell her how ridiculous (and totally great!) her opinions are.

Lana Del Rey: What to Expect from the Third Album and Her Best Songs

Lana Del Rey delivers a haunting and dream-like new single off the new album of the same name. It seems that with anything new that Del Rey puts out into the world it gets even more compelling. “Honeymoon” reminds me of an even softer version of “Old Money,” released on “Ultraviolence,” but without the added climatic build. It’s eerie and altogether a dreamy feel, much like Lana’s latest releases.

Book Review: ‘Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda’ by Becky Albertalli

Simon isn’t a character everyone wants to read about, but Albertalli’s greatest feat in this novel is that you begin to want to know about him. His likes, dislikes, whether or not he puts the lid down or up on the toilet, and just what his grade was in seventh grade English class. Random little tidbits make their way into the novel, and by the end I promise you Oreo’s will be on the menu for your next meal.

Why Zayn Malik’s Departure Is Bigger Than You Think It Is

Think of it like this: You are a square. Your mind is built up of four corners. Every time you blink, your corners switch. They switch because every time you blink, something is different. Whether it’s your favorite food, song, insult, class. It rotates because of change. The world of music and boy bands is always changing, but so is the world as a whole, and so are you. Maybe in a different time, when your corners are full, and the change has overlapped again and again, Zayn will have come back to One Direction.

Stiles is a character many audience viewers have come to rally for and love. Whether it’s when he was hyper active, over enthused, buzzed-head Stiles from Season One, or Void Stiles, teenage guy taken over by an evil spirit and thrust into the vulnerable recesses of his mind.

Music Review: Ryn Weaver’s ‘The Fool’ Is an Ocean Full of Gems

The Fool at its core is fantastic storytelling in the point of view of a wanderer, looking for anything and everything among loss, love and the desperate loneliness that comes with being young and on your own.

Top 10 Young Adult Heroines in the Last Decade

Whether or not you’ve ever picked up a Young Adult book, much can be said for the fact that you’ve probably at least heard of a few. From book adaptions to big screens and little screens alike, this genre is basically plastering itself to your side and saying, “It’s time.”
