Trailer for A. A Milne biopic, ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’

For those of us who grew up reading the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and friends, Fox Searchlight has a very special treat for us this fall with the release of Goodbye Christopher Robinupcoming biopic of A. A. Milne, English author and creator of the Winnie the Pooh books who gained the inspiration to bring to life the iconic teddy bear character thanks to the love toward his son, Christopher Robin.

Who would have imagined that writing a story between father and son would be the key to creating such a successful children’s franchise?

The film, set at the end of WWI, tells the story of the relationship between A. A Milne and his young son, and how his toys inspired the books of the international franchise about the magical world of Winnie the Pooh.

Goodbye Christopher Robin is directed by Simon Curtis (My Week With Marilyn) and stars Domhnall GleesonMargot Robbie, Kelly Macdonald and Will Tilston. The almost two-minute trailer (which you can watch above) is very emotional, reminding us that even in difficult times, people can find a way to be happy again.

Seems like it’s going to be a Finding Neverland experience, all over again!

Goodbye Christopher Robin is set to open in the UK on September 29 and in the US on October 13. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments below!
